Our foremost sleep scientists have still not been able to come up with a satisfactory explanation for sleep. Some say the exhaustion of the physical body leads us to sleep in order to rest it while others say that in sleep we make nerve energy which helps us function through the day.

The body has only one goal and the goal of the body is to constantly maintain a state of health. Health is balance or homeostasis. This homeostasis is maintained by ensuring that the blood and all body fluids are maintained in a very specific composition. This includes the levels of cholesterol and sugar in the blood along with other vitamins, minerals and cells.

    WHAT IS CHOLESTEROL USED FOR?

In the last 250 years we are eating food for taste, pleasure, convenience, habit, information, culture, peer pressure, etc. The body feels hungry because through food our body makes energy to function. We are no longer eating to make energy for the body.

A seed sprouts into a magnificent tree, a bud blooms into a beautiful flower, the clouds shower down the cooling rain, the waves crash against a warm beach- effortlessly. All that is, is made up of energy. Life itself as we know it started with the ‘Big Bang’ expansion of energy which gave rise to our Universe. In nature everything emerges from and converges into one another making our planet a living, breathing whole. This is reflected through every aspect of Nature.

Life without emotions is like Indian cuisine without spices. Time and again we are told by our well wishers to be logical, not to be emotional. Any attempt to live without emotions is like being extra sensitive on hygiene requirements, missing out the flavor of life. A guy was to sit down for a traditional south Indian meal served on banana leaf, to be taken by hand. Being highly hygiene conscious he washed his hands and the leaf with a powerful anti-septic lotion. Can you imagine how he will relish the food ?

“WHOLE PERSON HEALTH SUMMIT 2005 AND THE SECOND QIGONG SUMMIT 2005 IN WASHINGTON DC.”

Nanotechnology, a method primarily of molecular manufacturing, for the creation of tools, materials and machines that might eventually enable us to “snap together the fundamental building blocks of Nature easily, inexpensively, and in most of the ways permitted by the Laws of Physics”.

“I am a part of all that I have met.”  -   Alfred, Lord Tennyson.

American poetess, Christina, wrote a poem on the wind which goes somewhat like this. “Who has seen the wind? Neither you nor I, When the trees bend and dance, the wind is passing by.” How very true? If I am permitted to extrapolate wind with God it will run somewhat like this. Who has seen God? Neither you nor I, but, when in deep trouble you feel the presence of God, many times. Atheists would call that as luck.

Health is defined as the capacity to "work and love", according to Sigmund Freud. The word love needs elaboration here. The original idea is from Greek language. There are three words for love in that language, Eros-carnal love, Phil which means affinity, and finally, agapi, (agape) which denotes that esoteric state of universal compassion. When man could have the capacity to be compassionate, his health automatically improves. In that sense spirituality assumes a new role. Spirituality is simply caring and sharing, being human and humane (humanism).

Health is much more than the absence of disease. It’s a dynamic, positive, evolving, organic feeling that includes the mind, body and spirit. It is a delicate, harmonious balance between the organs of the body, the fluctuations of the mind and the feedback of the spirit. It is a subtle biorhythm played to the senses, in tune with our daily choices. Thus, a headache or a fever is a warning. But this disturbance is only seen and recognized as a physical symptom-the mental and spiritual aspects are completely ignored.
